| Braunschweig company run: we are in! GOD takes part in a slightly different company run As every year, the company run takes place in Brunswick – although this time it’s a little different. For the Coronavirus period, the organiser came up with a new concept in order to protect runners: “Everyone for themselves and yet together” is the motto. Between September 1st and 30th the participants run a route of their choice and measure their time themselves. The default distance is 5 kilometres, everything else is open. The run can be repeated any number of times and only the best result counts for the classification. Again, this year, despite the very unusual situation, GOD sponsors the Brunswick company run and remains true to the long-standing partnership with the organiser. “We didn’t want to let Coronavirus steal the event,” says Igor Krahne, managing director of GOD. “Our employees look forward to the company run every year, and participation has always been very high. And we don’t want to let the organiser down during this time either.” The volunteers from the Youth Counseling Center mondo X, an institution that has been supported by GOD since 2012, are also at the start line again. There is no doubt that this company run is different: the big party on the stadium is canceled and the run side by side with other athletes will not take place, but there are race numbers, measured times, teams and rankings. And after weeks of home office and remote work, this sporting event presents an opportunity to take on a challenge together with colleagues. We wish our employees a lot of fun and will cheer them on as always – albeit in other ways. |
