  • Support and close cooperation with data scientists in the processing of data and ETL
  • Development and support of data flow processes in ETL and application of machine learning models
  • Conception and implementation of complex system architectures as well as data infrastructures and architectures
  • Automated provision of data science environments on multi-cloud platforms
  • Design and optimize CI / CD solutions on multi-cloud platforms
  • Implementation of data pipelines workflows (e.g. with RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoop, Kafka), data ingest and data processing
  • Implementation of innovative solutions for data processing in the field of artificial intelligence


  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics or a comparable training in the IT field with several years of practical experience
  • Experience working as a data engineer or in the field of software development
  • Confident handling of SQL and relational databases
  • Extensive knowledge in the development of data pipelines (ETL- / ELT) and the associated workflows
  • Basic knowledge of technologies from at least three of the following areas: NoSQL (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Cassandra), Message Queues (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ) and Big Data (e.g. Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, HBase)
  • Practical experience with cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud as well as with automated deployments in the cloud
  • Ideally practical experience with Linux and scripting languages ​​(at least Python and Bash)
  • Practical experience with CI / CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, Atlassian Stack, Git, etc.), especially in the field of ETL automation
  • Knowledge of technologies in the field of data analysis, visual analytics, machine learning, text mining and search is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Excellent communication skills, independent and structured way of working
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
